4 cups apples, diced

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp. baking soda

3 tsp. ground cinnamon

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup walnuts, chopped

1 cup coconut flakes



1 cup brown sugar

4 tbsp. all-purpose flour

1-1/2 cups water

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup butter

2 tsp. vanilla extract



Preheat oven (350). Mix apples and sugar; let set 15 minutes. Add eggs, mix well. Add rest of ingredients and mix thoroughly. Prepare a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Pour mixture into pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. While cake is still warm, punch serveral times with fork and pour on topping.




Blend all dry ingredients and add water slowly. Add butter and cook on medium heat until creamy; stir constantly. Add vanilla. Cool slightly and pour over warm cake.
