1 tbsp. dry yeast

1 cup warm water (110 degrees)

1 tbsp. honey or sugar

2 tbsp. oil

1/4-1/2 tsp fine sea salt

3-4 cups flour (1/2 whole wheat + 1/2 white flour)


Dissolve yeast in water. Let yeast mixture stand for 10 minutes to start fermenting, then stir well.  Stir in remaining ingredients adding enough flour for a stiff dough. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, turn dough to grease all sides. Cover with towel and let sit for 10 more minutes. Divide in half. Put each piece on a greased 12-14 inch pizza pan and push to the edges, forming a rim around the outside. Spread dough with pizza sauce and add toppings. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until crust is lightly brown.


You can always add extra ingredients like garlic powder, rosemary, herbs or spices to spice it up a bit. Be creative!!
