2-3/4 cups sugar

1-1/4 cups butter, softened

1 tsp. vanilla extract

5 eggs


3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp. baking pwder

1/4 tsp. fine sea salt

1 cup evaporated milk


Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix with mixer; sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs on high speed for 5 minutes. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to sugar mixture alternately with milk, beating on low speed. Pour batter into a greased bundt pan.  Bake 70-80 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  (You can drizzle with vanilla icing or lemon icing, if you chose)


Hint*  For lemon pound cake, substitute 1 tsp of lemon extract instead of vanilla extract.
