1- 1 1/2 cups boiling water (according to desired thickness of oatmeal)

1/2 cup whole rolled oatmeal (can use instant)

1/8 cup of raisins, blueberries, or fruit of your choice

2 tabl. brown sugar or honey

1/4 cup walnuts

1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Cream or milk (optional)



Boil water in a pan on the stove while preparing the oatmeal mixture.  Put oatmeal, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and walnuts in a large enough bowl to allow for some expansion.  Add BOILING water to oat mixture and stir well, so not clumpy.  Cover bowl with lid or plate and leave for 5 minutes without removing. This allows the oatmeal mixture to cook, and oatmeal to expand. Remove lid or plate and enjoy!! Can add milk or cream if desired.   NO MESSY PAN OF GOOEY OATMEAL TO CLEAN  :>)
