Method
Dissolve the baking soda in a tablespoon of boiling water.
In a bowl, combine the sour milk, cornmeal, egg, flour, sugar, and the dissolved soda mixture.
Mix well and pour into greased tins or bake on a griddle.
Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until done.

One cup sour milk, i teaspoonful saleratus dissolved in tablespoon
boiling water, 2 cups meal, i egg, 2 tablespoons flour, 2 tablespoons
